We are member led, you help shape what we deliver for our LGBTQI+ community. In return you get to be part of an organisation making a real difference to the lives of our members.

We will provide training, support, benefits and opportunities which will enrich your personal life, and build on your professional skills. We have a range of opportunities available; from leading online sessions, policy work, fundraising, legal and projects. You might be a graduate, retired, or in between. SESSIONAL / FREELANCE ROLES

Paid Roles – according to role/expertise.

Project Manager £25,200 p/a 21 hrs weekly. (FTE £42,000)

To manage the successful delivery of a new LGBTQ+ heritage project on South Asian LGBTQ+ Heritage made possibly with funding by the Network National Lottery Heritage Fund. Project management, charity sector experience and working to deadlines essential.

Fixed Term Contract: 18 months appx June 2024 – Nov. 2025.

Sessional Roles – Various Ongoing

Sessional roles to work with our events team managing social events/club nights.
Admin Freelance roles: Finance, Book keeper, Admin and social media expert.

About us

Club Kali was set up as a club in 1995 and ended up as an LGBTQ+ global community.

Though we’re no longer able to meet in real life at the moment, we’ve taken our work online and now provide a variety of events to keep our community connected. We’re here to support you, reduce isolation, keep in touch with each other, learn things and have fun. All our events are free and safe-spaces dedicated to all LGBTQ+ individuals with a BAME heritage focus. Our small team works remotely on everything from organizing zoom panels to creating funny quizzes and collaborating with other non-profits.  

What will you be doing?

  • Learn about Club Kali’s history, values and rules to become an ambassador in your location
  • Take part in the creation, organisation, promotion and supervision of our online events
  • Pitch and create content (imagery, videos, audio) for all our socials including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube
  • Keep our community engaged and entertained

Currently we are a small team and therefore require the following as a minimum requirement:

  • Lived experience and/or strong understanding of the needs and concerns of LGBTQ people from marginalised communities
  • Good grasp of spoken English
  • Minimum of 6 months commitment for Volunteer roles
  • Be registered with HMRC (if based in UK) for Sessional/Freelance roles.
